Mr Schwarzenegger on the environment.
(Science Week - Day 7!)
You know what they say: carbon dioxide in the atmosphere keeps the delicious infrared in, and human civilization essentially spent the last century adding it to it – a little like placing a slightly sturdier lid over the proverbial sauté pan. Earth’s temperature has risen before, but this time it’s been quick and steady.
Most of us have seen the short and sweet video by Schwarzenegger on climate change by now. It’s encouraging to see a political figure espouse advocacy in, um… no uncertain terms… for political support of clean energy. It should be a no-brainer: embracing it is better in virtually every way thinkable. If you haven’t: http://bit.ly/2lVKecO
But it wasn’t just a short video! And since Bill Nye hasn’t made much of an appearance this week, let’s let him and Schwarzenegger have their moment in this recent NatGeo documentary.
As well as a glimpse at the political opposition to clean energy, naturally it gets into the science – how we found this out.
