The syzygistic solstice.
I hope you'll join me in appreciating the rare natural significance of the solstice today, marked not only by the sun's extreme angle, but the near-alignment of Saturn and Jupiter as seen from Earth – something that's happened only since I formed on it (and I somehow missed it last time).
I use "seen" hypothetically, since clouds continue helpfully to blanket my own vantage – so I'm relying on my fellow humans to capture and share the moment, or at least avail their chance to view it for themselves.
